NYFW S14: Favorite trends!

¡Hola hola! El jueves pasado la NYFW llegó a su fin, y tras una semana mostrando los mejores desfiles -o al menos mis favoritos-, llega el momento de recapitular, digerir toda la información y decidir cuales son las tendencias que preferís para esta primavera. ¡Yo ya he hecho mis deberes y éstas son mis cuatro favoritas!

Helloo! Last Thursday the NYFW came to and end, and after a week posting the best shows -or at least my favorite ones-, it's time to recapitulate, absorb all the info and decide which trends do we prefer for this Spring. I've already done my homework and these are my top 4!

NYFW S14: Vivienne Tam

¡Hola hola! Hoy post rapidito que voy tarde al trabajo, pero no sin antes enseñaros la colección que Vivienne Tam presentó el domingo. Me encanta como juega con los estampados, la cantidad de color que hay, los cuellos camiseros y sobre todo, los vestidos estilo skater, los quiero, los necesito, YA.

Hello hello! Today a quick post 'cause I'm late for work, but first I've got to show you the collection Vivienne Tam presented last Sunday. I adore how it plays with patterns, the tons of bright colors, the shirt collars and above all, the skater dresses. I want them, I need them, NOW.

NYFW S14: Noon by Noor

¡Hola de nuevo! Intento no daros demasiada información cada día para no saturaros, pero es que hay tanto que ver y tan pocos días...Ahora es el turno de Noon by Noor, que a mi personalmente me encanta. Rosa palo, estampados fantásticos todos mezclados entre si y mi pieza favorita en lo que va de semana, la falda en cuero burdeos, aunque quizá la preferiría un poco (mucho) más corta. ¡Un besazo y nos vemos mañana con el desfile de Vivienne Tam!

Hi again! I'm trying not to overload you gals with too much information, but there is so much to see and so little time to do it...Now is time for Noon by Noor, which I personally love. Pale pink, amazing patterns all mixed together and my fav piece so far: thar burgundy skirt, though I'd prefer it a bit (much) shorter. Tons of love and see you tomorrow with the Vivienne Tam's collection!

NYFW S14: Tadashi Shoji

¡Hola reinas! Continuames la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York con el desfile de Tadashi Shoji del viernes. Lo he escogido porque me encantan sus contrastes, con minivestidos flappy años 20 y ladylike, y otros largos que pasan del rock punk más chic a un romanticismo propio de Eliee Saab. Y lo hacen sin que cueste, pero lo hacen, ¿no es una pasada?

Hi sweeties! Let's continue the NYFW with the Tadashi Shoji collection from last Friday. I've chosen it because I can't love more the contrasts, from ladylike and little flappy dresses from the 20's to super chic punk and romantic long dresses very Eliee-Saab-like. And they pass from one to another with no effort, and they get there, isn't it amazing?

NYFW S14: Candela

¡Hola otra vez! Ya sabéis que estos días estoy publicando mis desfiles favoritos y junto con el de BCBG, el de Candela ha sido mi ganador del jueves. Ya en la anterior NYFW os hablé de esta firma (aquí), y con cada colección tengo más claro que saben lo que hacen: ¿encaje, sudaderas y zapatos rojos? Oh si, por favor. Me encanta, y es que mola mogollón!

Hi again! You all know these days I'm posting my fav shows, and along with the BCBG's, Candela's has been my absolute winner. I already told you about this brand the last NYFW (here) and with this new collection they've proved they know what they're doing: lace, hoodies and red shoes? Yes, please. I adore it, super cool bananas!

NYFW S14: BCBG Max Azria

¡Hola chicas y feliz lunes! El jueves pasado dio comienzo la temporada de Semanas de la Moda con la Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week en Nueva York, y eso son palabras mayores. Por eso, durante las semanas de la moda la dinámica del blog cambia por completo, trayendo cada día los mejores desfiles (hoy os muestro los del jueves) y al final de la semana una recopilación de mis tendencias favoritas. 

Hoy abro con, en mi opinión, uno de los mejores desfiles que tuvo lugar el jueves pasado. Cortes masculinos, tonos pastel y el binomio blanco-negro fueron los protagonistas de un desfile en el que se toma lo antiguo y se reinventa, consiguiendo mejorarlo. ¿Qué os parece? ¡Esta tarde más!

Hi gals and happy Monday! Last Thursday the Fashion Week season was started with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, and that's something. That's why during fashion weeks the dynamism of the blog will be completely different, bringing everyday the best collections (today I'm showing you the ones from Thursday) and a compilation of my fav trends at the end of each fashion week.

Today I'm opening with, in my opinion, one of the best shows from Thursday. Masculine style, pastel tones and the black and white binomial were the highlights of this collection, where the classics are updated and upgraded. Thoughts? More this afternoon!

NYFW: Candela

Como ya os comenté, aunque me encantan las Semanas de la Moda, siempre me saturo de información, por lo que acabo cogiendo tres o cuatro ideas que incluir en mi armario (podéis verlas pinchando aquí) y quedándome con un par de desfiles. La semana pasada os mostré el de Anna Sui (link aquí), que me encantó. Pues hoy os traigo otro más y ya el último de esta NYFW: el desfile de Candela.

As I already told you before, though I love Fashion Weeks, I always end up overwhelmed by all the new information, so I usually choose three or four ideas to embrace the new season (you can see them clicking here) and a couple of runaways. Last week I showed you the Anna Sui's one (link here), which I fell in love with. So today I bring you another one, and the last of this NYFW: Candela.

Me encanta el uso de faldas y vestidos de encaje y apariencia vintage unido a jerseys de punto y zapatos planos para relajar el resultado final. Descarto el último look por las transparencias imposibles, aunque me gusta la idea de una falda larga negra unida a una chaqueta motera. 

I adore the idea of using lace skirts and dresses with a vintage appeareance and mix them with knitted sweaters and flat shoes to dress down the whole outfit. Not so much into the last look 'cause those impossible transparencies, but I like the idea of a long black skirt with bike jacket though.

Aquí tenemos la misma idea pero con faldas cortas o por la rodilla, aunque siguen siendo protagonistas los encajes y la apariencia vintage. Si os fijais, el vestido del centro es el mismo que lleva la modelo de la primera imagen, aunque con un jersey. La única pega: los calcetines color carne por la rodilla, me recuerda a las medias calcetín que llevaban nuestras abuelas. 

Here the same idea but with short/knee-lenght skirt, but still with lace and vintage style as main characters. If you look closer, you'll realise the dress in the middle is the same dress of the first pic, but with a sweater over it. Just one objection: those knee-high socks in flesh tone, they remind me to those stockings our grandmas used to wear.

Y para terminar, conjuntos más diarios, que también los tiene. Gris de pies a cabeza, azul medianoche y abrigos con rayas horizontales, tres cosas a tener en cuenta en la nueva temporada. 

To end up, there are also some more daily outfits. Grey from head to toe, midnight blue and striped coats, three things to take into account next season.

NYFW: favourite trends

Me encantan las semanas de la moda, ver qué tendencias dicta la pasarela, cuales se repiten y mantienen una temporada más, cuáles surgen nuevas y con fuerza y cuales son tan ridículas y exageradas que mejor se quedan en la pasarela. Sin embargo, son tantísimos desfiles, tantísimas fotos, vídeos e informes que a menudo me saturo y soy incapaz de diferenciar lo que me gusta y lo que no. Por eso, en un intento de hacerlo más accesible, he escogido las cuatro ideas de la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York que más me han gustado. 

I love fashion weeks, seeing the tendencies that show up in the runaways, which ones are repeated or kept another season, which new ones have more possibilities and which ones are so ridiculous and extravagant they are better left on the runaways. However, there're so many catwalks, pictures, videos and info that I often find myself overwhelmed and incapable of distinguish what I like and what I don't. So, in an attempt of making the way more accesible, I've chosen the four ideas of the NYFW that I love the most.

NYFW: Ana Sui

Esta época del año es una locura, con noticias de las diferentes Semanas de la Moda saturando emails, blogs y revistas. Con tanta información aglomerada, al final termina pareciendo todo lo mismo, igual que cuando sales de compras con dinero -ya se sabe que si vas sin dinero lo querrás todo-. Por eso, cuando entre tanta masividad de modelos, tendencias, nombres, desfiles y colores destaca alguno en especial, es que es sin duda alguna, destacable. Esto es lo que me ha ocurrido con el desfile de Anna Sui en la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York.

This time of the year is nuts, with news from all the Fashion Weeks flooding emails, blogs and magazines. With tons of info gathered, at the end everything seems identical, the same as going shopping with money -we all know if you don't have any money everything will seem fabulous-. When among that massive amount of models, tendencies, names, runaways and colors, a colection stands out, it surely has something special. This is what has happened to me with Anna Sui's runaway in New York Fashion Week. 

Los aires sesenteros y setenteros son obvios, con pantalones de campana, calcetines por la rodilla y estampados geométricos en cada detalle. Colores vibrantes y mezclas controvertidas -como rosa y rojo- que no solo salen airosas sino triunfantes. Es una nueva era, ahora todos quieren llevar rosa y rojo.

Corbatas, pajaritas y lazadas propias de las señoritas de los años 60, con las colas de caballo bailando arriba y abajo y los zapatos planos o con ligero tacón y cordones tan característicos de esas décadas. Un matiz aniñado, como de colegiala algo crecidita, otorga ese aire de inocencia que hace que la colección sea redonda.

The Sixties and Seventies flair is obvious, with bell-bottoms, knee-high socks and geometric patterns in every tiny detail. Vibrating colors and controversial mixes -such as red plus pink- that not only come out accepted, but victorious. Is a new era, everybody wants red and pink together.

Ties, bowties and bows, so typical of the Sixties ladies, with ponytails bouncing around and those flats or low heels with shoe laces sooo from those decades. A childish shade, like a grown schoolgirl, gives that naïve touch that makes the colection complete.
