Oscars 2013: worst dressed

Tras hablar de las mejor vestidas (click aquí), vamos ahora con las peor vestidas, que siempre dan mucho más que hablar y son más entretenidas. De izquierda a derecha: Kelly Rowland de Donna Karan Atelier, María Menounos de Romona Keveza y Jennifer Hudson de Roberto Cavalli. El tema: chonismo. El tejido y arrugas del de Kelly Rowland, el color y la forma del de María Menounos y la textura del de Jennifer Hudson, unido al peinado de las tres, hacen que el resultado sea un NO rotundo.

After speaking about the best dressed (link here), let's go now with the worst dressed, always more fun and entertaining. From left to right: Kelly Rowland in Donna Karan Atelier, María Menounos in Romona Keveza and Jennifer Hudson in Roberto Cavalli. The theme: tackyness. The material and creases of Kelly Rowland's, the color and shape of María Menounos's and the texture of Jennifer Hudson's, added to their hairstyle, force us to say BIG FAT NO.

Las dos tienen algo en común: ambas son grandes actrices y ambas frecuentan las listas de mejor vestidas, así que ¿qué ha pasado? No sé si es el exceso de brillos en el L'Wren Scott de Nicole Kidman o lo extraño que le queda a Reneé Zellweger su Carolina Herrera, que parece que lleva debajo la armadura de Xena, la princesa guerrera. Algo falla aquí.

Both have something in common: both are huge actresses and both frequent the list of  best dressed, so what have happened? Not sure if the excesive glitter of Nicole Kidman's dress signed by L'Wren Scott or the weird way that Carolina Herrera dress fits on Reneé Zellwegger, which looks like she is wearing Xena's (the Warrior Princess) armor under the dress. Not sure what, but something is missing here. 

Fan Bingbing y Octavia Spencer lo han intentado con el volumen y han fracasado. La cantante china ha optado por un vestido de la firma Marchesa, asidua a las alfombras rojas. Una forma que podría ser bonita, si no fuera por ese color y sobre todo, ese tejido, que a mí personalmente me espanta. En cuanto a Octavia Spencer, esto me ha dolido, porque la adoro y me parece que ese corte de pelo y ese color de vestido la favorecen muchísimo. Sin embargo, ese tul y esas perlitas son totalmente de baile de graduación. 

Fan Bingbing and Octavia Spencer have gone with the flufflyness and they both have failed. The Chinese singer has chosen a dress signed by Marchesa, frequent in the red carpet. A shape that could have been pretty, but the color and above all the fabric, ruin it. About Octavia Spencer, this has hurted me deeply, because I adore her and that hairstyle and dress color look great on her. However, that tulle and pearls are totally from a prom dress. 

 
Aquí los fallos están muy claros: Kristen Stewart, ese vestido de Reem Acra no está mal, pero el maquillaje y peinado son terribles. Helent Hunt, me parece estupendo que escojas un modelo de H&M, como ya lo hizo Michelle Williams el año pasado, pero esas arrugas no se permiten en una alfombra roja. 

Here the mistakes are quite clear: Kristen Stewart, the dress by Reem Acra is not bad, but the makeup and hairstyle are terribles. Helent Hunt, I think it's wonderful you've chosen an H&M outfit, as Michelle Williams did last year, but those creases are out of place in the red carpet.

El Zac Posen de Kelly Osbourne no es feo y en otra persona podría haber lucido maravilloso, pero no es el que mejor sienta a la "actriz". En cuanto a Melissa McCarthy, está bien que quiera disimular los kilitos de más y no seembuta en un vestido minúsculo, pero ha caído en el error de creer que cuánto más suelto y amorfo sea el vestido menos se notarán los michelines, y en vez de ceñirse a la cintura para marcar la forma, se le ciñe a la cadera. ¿El resultado? Un saco de patatas.

The Zac Posen of Kelly Osbourne is not bad and could have look wonderful in other person, but definitely  it's not the one for the "actress". About Melissa McCarthy, I get she doesn't want to stuff herself into a tiny dress and tries to hide her rolls, but she has fallen into the error of believing that the more loose and shapeless the dress is the less we can notice her overweight, and instead fitting her waist to keep her woman shape, it fits her hips. Result? A potatoe bag.

Y dejando lo mejor para el final, estilismos que no hay por donde cogerlos. De izquierda a derecha: Nancy O'Dell de Mark Zurino, Brandi Glanville de BrandiB y Tabatha Coffey, también de Mark Zurino. No sé ni por donde empezar. Nancy O'Dell, pareces una gimnasta artística, ese vestido es para competir en las Olimpiadas. Brandi Glanville, por mucho que lleves tu propia marca, hazte una talla más grande porque con ese vestido parece que tu pecho va a salir disparado del vestido. Tabatha Coffey, esos guantes de cuero sadomaso dan un poquito de miedo.

Nancy O'Dell, you look like an artistic gymnast, that dress is for competing in The Olympics. Brandi Glanville, you're wearing your own brand, please make yourself a bigger size, it looks like your breast is about to pop out of the dress. Tabatha Coffey, those leather sadomaso gloves are frightening.  

Y con esto termino la selección. Eve Stewart con orejas de gato y bolso de la abuela, Rachel Mwanza con un vestido étnico, con volantes y floripondio incluido; y la portuguesa Sofía Alves, que parece que pasaba por allí de camino a la bolera. 

With this pics the selection comes to an end. Eve Stewart wit cat ears and her grandma bag, Rachel Mwanza with ehtnic dress, which includes flounces and a big akward flower; and the portuguese Sofía Alves, who looks like she is just passing by in her way to bowling.
