LFW S14: Favorite trends!

¡Hola hola! La Semana de la Moda londinense llega a su fin, y pasamos a la de Milán, pero no sin antes hacer un recopilatorio con las tendencias que más me han gustado de esta última edición. Las escogidas -y me ha costado escoger- han sido la silueta cocoon (genial para invierno), el total white, los vestidos con cuello camisero y la mejor de todas -y no quisiera aventurarme sin saber, pero creo que mi favorita de todas las Fashion Weeks- la sudadera reinventada como prenda chic! ¿Y vosotras? ¿Alguna tendencia en especial?

Hiii pals! The London Fashion Week has come to its end, and we'll continue with Mila'sn, but first  a compilation of my fav trends in this last edition. The chosen ones -and it's been hard to choose- are  cocoon silhoutte (perfect for winter), total white, shirt collar dresses and the best one -I wouldn't want to take risks here but it may be my fav of all Fashion Weeks ever-, hoodies reinvented as chic clothes! ¿What about you? ¿Any particular tendency?

LondonFW S14: Peter Pilotto

¡Buenos días chicas! Hoy os traigo el último desfile de la London Fashion Week (ya sábeis que cada semana hago una Fashion Week, y los viernes toca recopilatorio). He escogido el de Peter Pilotto porque es una pasada: los colores son geniales -pasteles y ácidos-, las formas molan mucho -los vestidos con la parte superior acampanada podría matar por ellos- y si encima tienes a Cara entre las modelos, pues yo no necesito más! ¿Os ha gustado? ¿Cuál ha sido vuestro desfile favorito?

Morning ladies! Today I'm posting the last show from the LFW (you know each week I focus on a FW and on Fridays I do a compilation). I've chosen Peter Pilotto because it's super cool: colors are awesome -both pastels and acids-, shapes are amazing -those dresses with the bell shaped top part I could kill for them- and if on top you have Cara among the models, well, I don't need more! Thoughts? Which one has been you favorite show?

LondonFW S14: David Koma

¡Feliz miércoles a todas! ¿Qué tal va la semanita por ahora? Yo muy atareada, y con muchas ganas de sentarme a ponerme al día con comentarios, blogs, etc., pero no me olvido, ¡os contestaré a todas! El desfile de hoy es el de David Koma, que siendo sincera, no conocía hasta ahora, pero es lo que tienen las Fashion Weeks, que acabas encontrando propuestas geniales que no sabías ni que existían. Me encantan las faldas wrapped estructuradas, y los pantalones con peplum son una pasada. ¿Opinión?

Happy Wednesday everybody! How is the week going so far? I'm quite busy, but can't wait to have a moment and start answering back all your comments. Don't worry, I haven't forgot it, I'll do it! Today's show is David Koma's, which to be honest, I didn't know until now. It's why Fashion Weeks exist, to find great ideas you didn't even know existed. I can't get enough of these wrapped structured skirts, and peplum pants are awesome. Thoughts?

LondonFW: Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

¡Buenos días para todas! Hoy os quiero enseñar la pre-colección de Preen, que aunque no fue la que desfiló en la LondonFW, la descubrí gracias a ella y me encantó (y me sé de alguien -Eli- que va a enamorarse de los outfits en klein). La fotografía, la caída de la ropa, ¡todo! ¿Y a vosotras que os parece? ¡Feliz martes!

Morning everyone! Today I wanna show you Preen's pre-collection, by Thornton Bregazzi. Although this wasn't the show at the LondonFW, I discovered this thanks to it, and I love it (and I know someone -Eli- who is going to fall in love with the klein outfits). LondonFW S14: Zoë Jordan

¡Hola hola! El jueves pasado la terminó la NYFW, siendo ahora el turno de las ciudades europeas, y comenzando por Londres. La NYFW es la favorita de muchos, porque es la que cuenta con más diseñadores conocidos y la que genera más expectación. Sin embargo, yo soy más de la Semana de la Moda londinense, porque arriesga más y porque cuenta con más diseñadores nuevos y jóvenes, y dar una oportunidad a los nuevas promesas nunca está de más ¿no?. 

A lo que iba, que la Semana de la Moda empezó en Londres, y Zoë Jordan fue uno de los mejores desfiles del segundo día. ¡Quiero, necesito todo -sobre todo el primer conjunto rojo-! ¡Feliz lunes princesas!

Hi there! Last Thursday the NYFW came to and end, starting now the round of the european cities, beginning in London. The NYFW is the favorite of many people, 'cause has more well-known designers than any and creates a lot more expectation. However, I'm one for the LondonFW, just because takes more risks and has a lot of new young designers, and that is a great opportunity to get, isn't it?

So, where was I? Yeah, the LondonFW has started and Zoë Jordan was one of the best shows the second day. I want, need everything -above all, the first red outfit-! Happy Monday gorgeous!

LondonFW: Huishan Zhang

Hola hola! No tenía pensando seguir escribiendo sobre la Semana de la Moda de Londres, quería pasar hoy ya a la de Milán. Sin embargo, cuando he visto esta maravilla de desfile de Huishan Zhang no he podido resistirme. ¡Que es lunes y necesitamos cosas bonitas para sobrevivir a él!

Hello hello! I wasn't planning to keep writting about the London Fashion Week, 'cause I wanted to move to the Milan one today. However, when I saw this wonderful runaway by Huishan Zhang, I couldn't help myself. It's Monday and we all need beautiful things to get over it!

Lo primero que me llamó la atención es la inspiración Mondrian. Yo no soy una experta en arte, solo hice una asignatura de arte en la carrera, y aunque recuerdo bastante, todos sabemos como funciona esto: si nos obligan a aprenderlo, lo aborreceremos. Sin embargo, cuando encuentras un cuadro o pintor que te gusta, eso no se olvida. Y eso es lo que me pasa a mi con Mondrian. Y estos vestidos, que han adaptado los colores y líneas de sus obras más conocidas, son un claro recordatorio de ello.

The first thing that catched my eye was this Mondrian inspiration. I'm not an art expert, only had one Art subjet in the University, and even if I remember quite a lot from it, we all know how this works: if we're forced to learn it, we'll detest it. However, when you find a painting or artist you love, it'll remain forever. And that's what happens to me with Mondrian. And these dresses, addapting the colors and lines of his best known works, are a clear reminder of that love.

Vestidos muy ladylike, con diferentes patrones y formas, pero siempre manteniendo ese estampado de encaje como denominador común. Mi favorito es el segundo, me encanta el corte del vestido ligéramente acampanado.

Ladylike dresses with different shapes and patterns, but keeping that lace embellished as common denominator. The second one is my favorite, I just love the cut slightly flared.

Y por último, el color azul cielo. Mira que es un color que no parece nada favorecedor, pero qué quereis que os diga, viendo estos vestidos -el primero- pienso que yo también podría llevarlo y lucir fantástica!:P

And last, the sky blue. This is a color that doesn't seem very becoming, but what can I say? With these dresses -the first one- I believe I can also wear blue sky and look as amazing as them! :P

London FW: Antonio Berardi

Buenos días de Jueves! En Madrid está haciendo una semana de perros, perfecta para quedarse en casa y ponerse al día con revistas y blogs. Esto me ha permitido escoger mis dos desfiles favoritos de la Semana de la Moda londinense mucho más rápido de lo normal. Hay que ver el lado bueno de que llueva sin parar...Pues bien, hoy os enseño el desfile de Antonio Berardi, que aunque seguro que muchas ya lo habeis visto, ¡puede que aún llegue a tiempo de sorprender a alguien!

Good Thursday's Morning! In Madrid the weather is awful this week, perfect to stay indoors and catch up with magazines and blogs. This has allowed me to choose my two favorite runaways from the London FW faster than normal, look at the bright side of this non-stop rain...So, today I'm showing you the Antonio Berardi's catwalk, because even if most of you have already seen it, maybe I can still surprise someone! 

Me encanta la simplicidad y sencillez de las propuestas, con el gris y negro como fondo neutro, al que se le añaden contrastes con el verde o el rojo. Ya se que gris y negro es una combinación obvia y nada innovadora, pero a veces se nos olvida lo elegante que resultan las prendas sencillas. 

I adore the simplicity and plainness of the ideas, with grey and black as neutral background and adding green and red contrasts. Grey plus black may seem an obvious combination and not innovative at all, but sometimes we forget the elegancy of simple colors and simple mixes.

Como podeis ver, no se limita a los grises y negros, sino que azules y verdes también cobran protagonismo, eso sí, sin dejar de incorporar toques rojos, grises y negros en los conjuntos. Me encanta que cada uno de los colores de la paleta con la que trabaja pega con los demás, da igual como los combines.

As you can see, grey and black aren't the only protagonists, but blue and green also have a main role, although always mantaining red, grey and black touches in the outfits. I love that each color of his working palette matches the rest of the colors, no matter how they are combined.  

Con la misma paleta de colores neutros, incorpora una de mis tendencias favoritas esta temporada, el embellecimiento de la ropa. Sin embargo, Berardi consigue que esta tendencia tan elaborada y compleja parezca simple a nuestros ojos, manteniendo colores neutros en el fondo.

With the same neutral palette, he incorporates one of my favorite tendencies this season: the embellished. However, Berardi manages to turn this elaborated and complex trend in something simple to our eyes by keeping these neutral colors as background.

Y ya para terminar, solo enseñaros las mangas de la primera imagen, que tienen un no-se-qué que me encanta, parecen tan ligeras y aun así tan estructuradas, ¡me chiflan! Y los vestidos, bueno, yo no soy mucho de llevar ropa super ajustada porque me siento incómoda, pero con estos vestidos, hechos para estilizar y marcar la figura femenina, ¡yo creo que me podría atrever!

Last but not least, I just wanted to show you the sleeves of the first imagen, they have an I-don't-know-what that I love, the seem so soft and still so structures I just adore them! And these mini dresses, well, I'm not one into super tight clothes because I feel uncomfortable, but these dresses are so made to stylize and accentuate the female shape I think I could try them!

London FW: favourite trends

¡Lo siento, lo siento, lo siento! Ya se que voy con más de 15 días de atraso, pero como ya os comenté cuando hablé de mis tendencias favoritas de la NYFW (link aquí), necesito un tiempo para digerir toda la información, descubrir las tendencias que más aparecen y se imponen, y decidir cuáles son mis favoritas. 

Todas y todos deberíamos ser conscientes de aquello que nos favorece y aquello que no, por muy de moda que esté. Pues bien, ¡estas son las cuatro tendencias que más me han gustado de la Semana de la Moda londinense, y que estoy dispuesta a incorporar ya mismo!

Sorry, sorry, sorry! I know I'm 15 days late, but as I already told you when I wrote about my NYFW favourite trend (link here), I need some time to digest all the information, discover the most repeated tendencies and decide which ones I prefer. 

All of us should be aware of which trends suit us better and which ones don't, no matter how fashionable they are. So, these are the four tendencies I loved most from London Fashion Week, those which I'm ready to embrace right now!
